Scotland Is Famous For Short Vacation Rental Breaks Starting In November

November is a good month for those who want peace and quiet and this is the month usually when vacation property owners will break down their weeks into shorter periods.

Just a weekend away in glorious Scottish countryside, with no hurry, little traffic on the roads - that for some is ideal. Many stay in vacation rental properties where they can control what time they get up, have breakfast and if they want to spend the day in their cottage they can do so comfortably.

Take the area known as Glencoe. This little glen has given its name to no less than seven other Glencoes around the world from Australia to Canada since its people were dispersed to other lands 150 years ago. Glencoe is famous for its beauty – it was voted as the Fourth Wonder of Scotland. The giant mountains on either side of the Glen were formed by gigantic earthquakes 40 million years ago leaving to-day spectacular scenery with gushing waterfalls, tiny lochs and giant cliffs. The whole area is a winter wonderland for holidaymakers.

But other areas are equally as beautiful if not so dramatic such as the softness of the Isle of Skye, the wild life of the Isle of Mull, the rolling hills of Perthshire. There is even some sunshine to be found. The little town of Dunbar has Scotland’s sunshine record. After the summer bookings have fallen away then some very special prices are offered, down to as low as £7 per person per night and this site shows some truly excellent properties around the country.

Some holiday rental properties close altogether at this time while most of those who stay open offer short breaks. of less than a week. The prices are low, too, about 40% below the summer rates
