When you think of Cyprus, usually one of the first places that pops into your head is Paphos. It is by far Cyprus’s most popular tourist destination and looking back on its history it is not hard to see why. This article is about Paphos and particular the culture and history surrounding it.
One of the main reasons why the area is so popular is because it was once home to the mythical Goddess Aphrodite. When the Goddess mystically appeared out of the sea it obviously caused a lot of interest and thousands of tourists started flocking to the island. It became the Capital of Cyprus but today it is better known as a small harbour town.

The rooms may be small, but are mostly uncluttered so as to give it a spacious look with lots of sunlight and fresh air streaming inside.

Could the writing be on the wall for low cost airlines operating out of the UK and other European countries as the Conservative Party - once a campaigner and implementer of lower taxes - has called for purchase tax to be introduced to domestic flights?
The tax would add up to 17.5 per cent on to the cost of a flight from one British city to another, but while flights to the European mainland and popular holiday islands such as Menorca aren’t specifically mentioned, one travel company believes the new policy will inevitably lead to higher fares for flights not just within Britain, but elsewhere too.
